The likelihood of individuals continuing with their created content and personal learning networks depends on a plethora of factors, including intrinsic motivation, positive feedback, minimal pushback, adaptability, time management, perceived value, incentives, and infrastructure.
The skills developed in content creation and in building a personal learning network are absolutely transferable to professional practices, especially since we are fully submerged in the internet age, as well as will continue on with AI. Not only will the skills be applicable, but they will be imperative to one’s success, no matter their profession.
Can your PLN be used to help professional development post-course?
Yes, my personal learning network can and will be used to support my professional development after this EDCI course, as I am eager to pursue a career in consulting, which is bolstered by ‘who you know’, which relies on your growing and successful network.
Can your PLN be relied on to open professional opportunities?
Absolutely, so long as the image that I curate for my personal learning network remains somewhat professional, it will continue to act as a key to open a series of doors with endless possibilities that would not have been as easily attainable pre-networking days.
